Future of JavaScript?

What's the future of JavaScript? Do you think that it is going to be replaced by some newer programming language in the next few years? Is it possible to predict which programming language has the brightest future?

For a long time there are many languages that seek to take the place of JS on the Web and most have not had much success The main problem of these languages is the compatibility between browsers (Dart is good example of this as far as I know) and above all that they can work in not so recent versions of them Actually several new languages have emerged but most of them are compatible or compile the code to JS, which means that they work more as an extension of it
