what type of programmes can i learn in other to build/create android application

From my understanding Android only supports java written with the Android SDK.

However since most applications are useless without the “internet”, some programmers create web apps, in hopes that it can support more users. The limitations of web apps are:
1. Not stand alone
2. Not secure (can’t define custom handshake for web)
