Jpeg, jpg, gif format images are not displaying in any browser

Question

I may have 3 or more images with image extensions such as: as.gif, as.png, as.jpg.
1: images with extension of PNG works fine with only chrome but not working with Mozilla FireFox and Safari.
2: images with extensions of GIF,JPG ,JPeG NOT WORKING AT ALL
Can someone tell me why this would be? any way to solve it ?
