Are there still many companies using older versions of Java?

Question

I am quite new to Java and started to learn Java 8 however I am aware that there are features which are not available in former versions.
I heard that here in Hungary there are quite some who are still using Java 5 or 6.

many of the products developed during the days of 5 or 6 are needed to be maintained as they are still running. this is is the reason java 5 or 6 is still used by some companies. yes java 5 or 6 is still used by many companies but java 8 is used many many more companies. also i think old versions will vanish in some years.
