Exactly. Developer, as Martin said, is a very generic term and relates to any developer of any profession. However, if you're always hanging around programmers and such, then it's easy to think that developer always relates back to programmers.

Can't really sum it up better than Martin did. Software developer is a developer that is specialized in software. They are also a developer. However, someone else may be a developer also, but not a software developer, such as a web developer.

I thought the word developer is used for only programming related job titles, no other types of developers like Martin said. and I believe software developer and developer does the same job. thanks
