In Ruby, can a variable_name start with number?

Question

In all other languages, variable_name contains alphanumeric characters and underscores, that does not start with numerical_value.
In SoloLearn, it's not mentioned, so
Whether same methodology applies to Ruby?

I think it can't start with a number but the best way to be sure is trying as you know. Also I can't give you a certain answer because I am new at ruby.
