Gradle syn error editing and debugging

Question

I have this error in my android studio i have tried out everything but the error is not going.
1. I have latest gradle 4.2 and android 2.3.3
so it's not that old version problem
2.I have removed catch and restarted to build
Additional to this i am unable to see the changes that i make in java or xml in preview like text is set.
I am also getting missing class error
