Please, do you get money for posting apps to Google Play or do you pay money?

For some reason I cannot comment on a comment, but this is to ICE. In order for you to post to Google Play, you must first pay a registration fee, which is about 20 euros.
Now whether you get paid or not, depends if you agree to add advertisements in to your app. It'll take a rather long time to make your 20€ back with just ads thoughs :P
