In HTML it is called Tags.
The bigger and smaller than signs are used to make it a tag.
In this case it is "p" surrounded by <> which is for paragraphs and the second one is for ending the tag with a / after the first tag. Between them write whatever you want. I suggest you practice a lot also and try understanding concepts with help also from people. Hope it helped.😉
