Today's challenges are more about confusing challengers. If you want to learn something you better use books, articles, videos, screencasts.

I did challenges to gain some XPs and to be in the first 10 positions globally, i won about +3800 challenges in four different languages but i did not learn nothing about logic and best approaches, challenges has not been so useful to actually learn something, but pretty fun to get easily XPs and play with other users.

I think challenges make you think faster, because there is a limited time. It would be really nice if you learn related materials and books as well. Otherwise, challenges cannot improve your knowledge. PS: I did not know answers to some questions and I learned them after the game by "View answers". At the result those questions still exist but now I know the answers to those questions, LOL. Shortly: THEORY + PRACTICE!!!

Sometimes we look too far to learn things. Some things you can not learn or teach in a book. Some things you figure out on your own with your own logic. Apply your knowledge to projects and challenge yourself. And that way you get the right books and tutorials to lead you to your goal... else you learn simply for xp...

I've learned from challenges implicitly plus if you want learn explicitly practice on your own with the courses, books, videos... I think that challenges is only a light view of the language plus if you want deep in then aboard easy or hard projects
