After learning html, css and js, now how do i get my website published and own a domain name?

Just completed html and about to enter css. But I've been wondering what's the next step to take to tell me friends "take a look at my first website". And secondly I will like to know how the browser is able to recognise my CSS file ( I mean it is a separate document stored on my PC) same goes for js. Will I be needing a compiler or what ? Thanks friends I know it is such a noob question.. That's because I am one

1. There are plenty of free webspaces and free domains but when you want something serious you might want to have a look at strato.com or other domain/ hosting providers. Details are explained there aswell. 2. Your CSS is linked via your HTML that's how your browser recognizes it. Same goes for your JS. You will store all the files on your webserver.
