Sublime text, Notepad++ and Emacs are great options.. also Vim it's a powerfull option with a totally diferent filosofy... it's worth a try. any of them can help you in other languages also. A portable web server like Xamp or similar could be useful too for testing your web page with php scripts and database support. Hope it helped

Try Atom.io It's a text editor that is very customizable. You can download and install packages that add functionality and syntax themes for different languages including html, CSS and Javascript. Syntax themes allow you to change the font colors of words and characters depending on the language (file extension). Packages and syntax themes are easy to get and install. It's all done through the settings. Simply browse or search the click to download and install all in the settings. It's very similar to Sublime but it's open source and free. I believe it's made by Github. There is a manual available online called "Atom Flight Manual" that walka you through all of the features. The feature I like best is having multiple cursors. This allows you to write or delete multiple places in a file at the same time.

Sublime Text is a great choice. Also, there are lots of great packages created for it that make work with HTML much easier. Actually, Atom is not bad editor too.
