Question

I was just wondering if you guys had some tips on using Kali Linux?

Put it in virtualbox, or... Kali's one of the supported distros for Linux Deploy (Android). Kali's own site has tutorials.
Personally I'd steer you towards defense, like...spend the next few weeks learning how Snort works. Security folks are often amazed anyone remembers the rule syntax, but if you do you have a chance of passing that part of certain security certifications.
As this is a public Q&A and there's a thread about hacking, I suspect that will also get linked in soon enough.
