You need the hunger to learn PHP
just learn HTM with CSS then jump PHP or other programming languages like core java then jdbc then PHP. your choice but recommend is:- HTML+CSS+JS+PHP+SQL+RDBMS(Oracle/MySQL).
In order to use PHP effectively, you will eventually need to learn other languages, such as: HTML, because it's what PHP normally outputs to the browser. MySQL, because you'll want to store user data in a database.

You need to have a basic knowledge in HTML.You will learn PHP faster, and more faster if you know another scripting language, like python.
I would recommend to learn the HTML 5 basics before starting with PHP

You should learn html & css as it's consider the basics . you may learn also Java script &my SQL before starting php
you really need no requirements. php is a stand alone language. it's a must for server side content creators. you can learn python or any other language but you'll have to leaem the framework that connects it to the web so in my opinion learninh php is very beneficial. if you want to connect it to a database use sql. it's easy and well they go hand in hand together.
In my opinion I agree with Sololearn's Php recommendation " Before starting this tutorial, you should have a basic understanding of HTML. " Also needed is the drive, hunger, you name it... to learn it. I'm usually driven by pure intrest or some idea I want to try. One final personal recommendation: take the time to enjoy the progress.

people here mention CSS and JS, both necessary for working in web or making nice projects, but for learning PHP you only need basic HTML to start with. codecademy has a great interactive HTML and a PHP course available for free. That's how I started, now working in as junior web developer in an agency.
