How to use or set Up IntelliJ for Java?

I have recently started learning Java and in search of an IDE I found IntelliJ useful but I don't know how to set it up. Means I can't get the place to write the code. I want a guide or something that can help me get a proper working environment. And if possible I would prefer to use IntelliJ only.

If you do not have JDK
copy this tutorial
- install the lastest JDK
- Do not install Eclipse , Setup IDEA instead
