Why is SoloLearn such a good resource for coding?

I am only an early teen. I personally do not get why coding is such an important part of our lives. Even though I enjoy it, I want to know the purpose of coding. Does it help in college? Will it be useful?

Almost every electronic device is programmed by someone, and without programming we wouldn't have any technology, like we have today. Hardware is important, but it's nothing without anyone who makes it's firmware and software. So it's nice to have knowledge about programming, to understand the world around you better, or to improve it if you decide to become some kind of programmer yourself.
