What are the best foreign languages for a programmer to learn?

I know that the use of foreign languages depend from country to country, but what are languages that are useful for programmers generally? Don't include English as that is obvious, but what about languages such as German, where a lot of advanced technology is made and someone is needed to program those things? Or maybe Portuguese or something? Thoughts?
