What would be a suitable language for starting to learn Human machine Interfacing ?

I am currently a graduate of EEE. But for higer studies, I want to take a topic based on AI. I am familiar with python 3, c++ and a few other languages. But I am mostly expert at coding with Matlab. So I need suggestion about where and what to begin with. Thanks in advance.

Python has a really great support of machine learning solutions - highly recommendable :)

HMI is not directly connected with Machine Learning. It's a different..err... entity. But while I was working with SCADA and HMI (Proficy HMI, Cimplicity, GE Fanuc PLCs) I can't advice anything concerning languages. As I feel it different manufacturers use different technologies (often at high level they have some simple scripting language that may even look like Basic) [some knowledge of C can help or even lower level (asm or ladder diagram) but it's not for interfaces]. But I never worked with anything close to any AI in that field, so I may misunderstood what is asked here. Upd: Reread question, and now I think that subject is not close to HMI in production/manufacturing, right?

yes Andrew. Its not related to industrial HMI. Rather I am talking about machines interpreting different human actions and create appropriate reactions. These reactions are not gonna be some predefined ones rather the machine would comapre different cases and learn from them
