i estimate women make up about 30-40% of web developers / programmers and while that may seem like a big number i rarely see girls partake in longer programming and it can be a huge number of reasons but women can be discouraged out of doing programming by anyone really and sometimes lose interest. also it can just be that they don't see themselves as programmers, etc it can be for any reason honestly. i see a lot of girls on sololearn which is really good though! :) fullscale developers from which i see on sololearn are usually men though

definitely agree with aina. while men are more prominent in computer programming and coding, it does not place them above women who are also in computer programming just because of their gender. both are stylistically different but it does not pose them against each other. nothing separates them just based on gender and sex

none, really. both can be equal in programming, but i think you'd mostly see dudes being programmers, especially web developers :)

some women can be better coders in men and some men are better coders than women. i think it depends on how you look at it, but they do think differently :)

Talking about the number, we have more men in programming. But in terms of the skills you can't really differentiate and conclude that men are better. We have aptitude for different things, and our skills and proficiency depends on our commitment to learning.

There is no difference. Sex/gender has nothing to do with intelligence, judging one's capability based on their sex/gender is an insult. Albeit in general (common cases) the difference between boys & girls would be: Boys LIKE girls, and, Girls LIKE boys

There is some difference. Girls Have less analytical thinking, but it isn't bad. Simply we are different a little. And else: exception proves the rule

Skills aren't determined by what's between your legs.. Skills are determined by the amount of work you put into learning something. That's why I would say less than half this site is from the US, simply because we aren't raised here with that as a priority. And there are more males in this job field simply because we further our own stereotype. You know how many times I've called myself a dumb blonde? Girls are raised nowadays to care about makeup and hair and boys, not about tech.
