How can i attach a ruby programme to my website properties ?

I mean, what is the process ? how those if, else, elsif or anything else like maths works ? where to put them ? Sorry ! I'm a noob so, getting a answer would be pretty helpful for me to take a step forward in case of my knowledge !

A Ruby program can only be << attached to a website >> in meaning that it is used at server side, to more or less dynamically serve web documents... as usualy Php do.
Ruby web server framework is called Rails and known under the name Ruby on Rails (RoR).
Anyway, you cannot embed Ruby script inside Html documents as you do with JS (it's the only, and historically dedicated, language available on user side web).
