I feel I will never reach level 10~~

When I won I won 5 points but when I lost I lose 30+ not quite understand how they give points~

@Justelisha won. :3 Fully agree, in the HTML challenges there are always the same quizzes and it is easy memorize all the answers, it should be frequently updated, anyway i recommend to choose a programming language and start to do something more than HTML challenges, mathematical quizzes are really useful to keep fresh your mind. HTML quizzes are fun but too easy, any other programming languages can be helpful to train your math skills. ;)

@Nancy don't worry please check the answers after completed the challenge and understand it example if u not understood answers .do calculations in a note that will also give more remembrance while playing next challenge . all the best u will reach platinum one day :) . when comparing to other challenges html are little easy but that's too need hard work and effort.

@4rontender Myself never decline the challenge, but I do feel people got their right to decline. I would rather blame the current matching and scoring system. By default all the weapons are available for challenges in the beginning, but not all of them are interesting. If they do the other way round, then only people want to do challenges active their weapon. That will make the challenges more meaningful. Furthermore, people should still gain points for their efforts even for declined challenges, or in other forms. SoloLearn is designed to encourage people to learn, isn't it?

If you want to level up quickly, choose HTML :-). The set of quizzes in challenges is small and you can remember all of them easily.

learn HTML challenges, it's the cheat code of sololearn. everyone above level 7 in HTML could consistently answer perfect at all questions so HTML challengers just get XP by doing draws all the time. Look at some profiles and check their HTML experience points... edit: funny how people downvote me, like I unvoiled their secret or something... 😂

Thank everyone for your kind encouragement. Currently I am using python. I am not afraid of losing but feel pretty frustrating because I feel the more you try, the more you lose... Currently many people tend to decline challenges say, 6 in 10. I understand those people who decline, maybe they don't feel like or they are not ready or they did not find the magic key to disable certain 'weapon' yet. I just find the scoring system pretty frustrating. Current situation is: If I want to finish 10 challenges, I have to finish 25. When my performance is good I got 9 out 10 chance to win or draw, then I got less than 9*6 - 36*1 = 18 points. But when my mind is not so fresh or the opponents are too strong, then the winning ratio drop to 8 out of 10, then I will lose more than 36*2 - 8*6 = 24 points! The more you try, the more you lose:( (The winning ratio given here just as an example, not seriously proved~) PS: Thanks for the tips on HTML~ I did not know that before~~

The system behind challenge points is simple. They compare your strength against that of your opponent, I think it is the amount of challenges played that counts. If you have played more challenges with a certain weapon then the other player, you get less points. There are two things you can do, choose more experienced opponents or switch weapon. I switched from Python to C# and then to Ruby. Ruby is the same as HTML, you will learn the answers. And Ruby is easy when you know Python.
