Yes. Because you can't become a professional coder unless you actually start the process, and the first step in the process is learning the language. So, if you learn the language and then start putting what you learned to use, you'll inevitably become a great coder if you don't give up on it when you get stuck. And trust me, you'll get stuck at some point. Even the most professional coders I've met get stuck now and then.

The real question is how bad do you want to become a great prorammer?

Once u get that then u need to start practicing, while practicing u will face some problems as a result u will have to look it up on the net, thats your learning process(takes time).
