I wanted to know what are the things for making social networking site?

Languages: Java, JScript, C, C++, HTML, AJAX, Php, Phyton...
Hardware: If you host by yourself, you wil need a good inet connection and Server with a LOT of ram
Oh yeah one important thing: Time. You'll need a shit ton of time
To start you'll jave to set up database mgmnt, servercode that handles all the html input forms and so on...
