Best way to start career as a junior coder?

Hello everyone! Long time ago i studied c/cpp, have some projects on pawno and now i have idea to start a coder career, what will be more useful on first steps? Sololearn is great app, but how can i get some real and actual practice?

Make a personal project with your favorite language, then post it on Github or somewhere else and continually improve it. Then branch out and make more difficult projects, always making them public.
