Which language should one learn to develope an Operating System

I suggest you to learn C++ for sure ; however if you plan to work on linux perl will be much easier .
Csharp will help you to make applications on windows, ahh javascript will also brings system credentials to your life...
So i can easly say that there is no one answer.
But if you want to be multiplatform developer many people will say learn Java.
