Speed is less relevant when it comes to coding, although in some cases, it may reflect how fast you can come up with a suitable algorithm to solve a problem.

Methinks depends on the weight of the task. If it is moderate assignment work and I can figure out ALL the algorithms required in one try, I wouldn't take breaks and would probably be done in 20 minutes, ignoring trials and errors.
What happens most of the time is that the required algorithm for the next part of the task comes naturally when you are typing the first part.

let me rephrase.what I meant to ask was how much time does it take you to put the logic(once you have an idea what needs to be done) into code lines.
