What language do you use for prototyping?

Some popular programming languages for prototyping are: Ruby, Python, Perl, JavaScript, Groovy, Scheme, etc. Which one do you normally use? Do you prefer prototyping with the language you are more familiar with? Or do you take into account other aspects such as your OS or where the program will run? :)

I would use a object based higher programming language because they are organic and kinda natural in the way they function and are stuctured in. Its simpler and faster to realize ideas with higher languages like "Ruby" or "Python" than with complex languages like "C++".
