C#, how good is it?

I just have started learning C# language, because I found it very flexible and complex, but can anyone tell me about true power of it?

Maybe some examples of applications/web engines coded using this language?

Is it worth to invest time into this programming language?

I know I am able to find out this information on the net, but I want to read about opinion from fellow people.
