Why are shortcuts so bad?

I thought if I were to shortcut through the HTML course, I would get the xp and the Bits that you would get if you were to do it without shortcutting, but sadly I got neither! Why is it that Solo Learn punishes knowledge and progress?

You could also view it the opposite way: Why should you get xp and bits for quizzes you didn't do?

Don't confuse xp with experience. ;)

You do not get any info that you will not earn any bits nor xp and you cant undo it. So even if I wanted to do them now, I cannot.
