[Solved] If you block someone for the usual reasons, is it the case that you no longer have access to your own question?

It makes no sense to me. I cannot see my RegEx question. The only thing that had happened in between me seeing it and then not seeing it is some troll told me to go ask my Mama for help. I reported him and then blocked him. Am I missing something? Is there a workaround? Thank you.

Well, doesn't sound right, you should be able to see your question, unless it was deleted by a moderator. That could happen if the question was not programming related (and therefore should be in your feed)

What happens if you unblock said person? Does the thread reappear? (I, too, do not see your question, which is kind of sad, because I was still considering whether to respond or not.) In the past it was that the "contributions" of the blocked person were invisible for those who blocked only. The blocked person cannot open the question again, but would receive notifications if mentioned or upvoted. Their responses would, however, still have been visible in their activity feed (but cannot open it) That you cannot open your own question because of an answer of someone you blocked makes no sense at all. It is definitely a bug that needs to be fixed since it undermines the blocking system. So, if that is the case you should definitely report, and let them decide how important they make the ticket.

Ani Jona 🕊 Thank you Ani. I will check that first and also let you know about it here, too.

Ani Jona 🕊 No, unblocking doesn't change anything, and since you cannot see it either, I guess that was expected. Reporting it now.

Paul K Sadler I can but I'd assumed they'd rather we refrain from keeping them busy for issues that are not technical? I mean I don’t want to be spamming, although I should say I haven't quite the idea when they consider stuff in grey area as spam. Also, I am not trying to challenge whatever tradition there is. I am going to unblock the person if I'm guessing right. I have no idea, hence the question. Thank you. I will do as you say.

Paul K Sadler Ok, thanks. I remember reading how not to post questions about SL conduct or stuff that hasn't to do with learning, but I was trying to understand if it was normal for this to happen. Thanks for taking the time to confirm it as being potentially technical.
