Next era of ProgrammingšŸ˜²šŸ¤”šŸ§

I always wondered how the future of Programming would be. As far as I've seen, last generation of Programming was functional(or procedural) programming. Currently the trend is Object Oriented Programming. What will be(or would be) the next era of Programming? Functional programming was overtaken by Object Oriented Programming because the latter is more meaningful and easier to follow(I think so). I don't think of anything that would be more meaningful and/or more efficient and/or more easier to follow than Object Oriented Programming. Do you have any views on this? Thank you for any replies, this has been my question for a long time...

The next era of Programming will be the one in which Humans won't do any programming at all. The Machines will do all the programming and scripting work. If you don't believe, Google some research articles on: Probability that a job type will be complete autonomous. A programmer has a high probability to be replaced by a machine šŸ˜… So, does a Professor or a Medic/Doctor. LE: Don't you see the trend with AI and UiPath (which is a company founded here, in Romania) ? šŸ™…ā€ā™‚ļø

Romeo Cojocaru that looks cool, but I never believed that computers can do the "thinking". Or maybe I don't understand the way humans will make the computers do it. Whatever I'll just wait and see what happens But I always thought in the future, humans won't have to do any work. They shouldn't do it. Robots should do all the works, so maybe humans can finally do what they want with no worries. A person shouldn't be working for someone else to stay alive no?

Rishi Maaaan, you should read some philosophy. Also, some biology is welcomed. Mix in some SF movies or novels and you have a contoured response to your question. But let me punctually response to you, as: "computers can do the "thinking"" => Computers can think (execute) much better and much faster than us. What a computer can't do? It can't be creative. So, there is a difference between creativity and pure thinking. "way humans will make the computers do it" => because they can do much better than us. Does a computer has emotions and feelings?! "Whatever I'll just wait and see what happens" => neither of us will live to see that. When I said era, I meant > 100 years. "in the future, humans won't have to do any work" => and do what?! A human who doesn't uses his brain it will be atrophyeted (I don't know a medical term in English). "Robots should do all the works, so maybe humans can finally do what they want with no worries." => again, what humans should do? So, Robots should be our slaves, right?! šŸ˜‚

Rishi (previous message continues) If it comes to a war, they will win for sure. So, that is with the Human race. They are better than us. The only difference is that a Human can be creative, while a Robot just executes instructions at a higher rate, with more precision never being tired. "A person shouldn't be working for someone else to stay alive no?" => But, Robots should work for us and they should never mind. Maybe in 10 000 years Humanity will leave those riches and things that make this world ugly. Maybe. But what is for sure is that not all the people in the world have good intentions or have a good judgement. Some of them are...
