I am not sure what you are trying to do, so I wrote a little adaptation to your code with some options.
print("what is your name?")
name = input() # write your name
You have written what is your name in the same line of the print statement.
Use it within the brackets.
Or use it with another print statement.
Or else if you want to make it as a comment use #before it .
