Please I need your opinion

Question

I don't know if this sounds crazy or funny although I am still a beginner and I have finished my html and css course I also learn on MIMO APP just to revise, and also I've been trying to practice my html and css skills if you check my codebit you'll see codes I've made, recently I felt like I should start my javascript course and I've started since 2 days now but here is the thing,
I tried to practice my html and css again by making just a simple header using css grid and I don't even know how to do it, the more I try to think it just feels like my head is too full for anything like I totally forget I mean it's not even up to 3 days yet! Does this sound normal? Please help me 😢😢😢

UI/UX is a great profession, Im 100% sure you'll build alot more than portfolio's. Keep practicing.

Yes, it is wired. I looked your codes and they are very good. Only a person experienced in web development can do it.
Just go little slow and practice basics. Don't rush.

I don't think grid system is covered in SoloLearn CSS course.

Also, web design doesn't mean that you have to memorize every code.
You can refer to cheatsheets or MDN (Mozilla Doc) whenever you forget something.
After you build your own boilerplate, you develop different websites by making changes to the content of your boilerplate.
Web design is more about aesthecity. You choose color, space, etc. appropriately. You could refer to codebits of Domino or Mitali about aesthecity.
To conclude, don't worry about forgetting things.

I had the same issue when I was new in web development, best advice I can give you is to practice, practice and more practice. Coding in any form is like learning a new language, you must practice. The more you practice the more you will remember how to write code.
I used to check out Codepen and see how people code different things, I checked their code untill I found something I liked to learn and then I would try to code something similar on plunkr.
You can also just start your own project like making a responsive website that can be your CV like a portfolio. Also check website w3school, these things take time to learn. Dont beat yourself up.

Take your time to learn, coding is really fun, especially web development, so so so much you can actually create, but keep practicing. You'll see, a year from now you'll be coding without even thinking. Like muscle memory. 👌👍💪

Michelle Haggis Can't wait 😁😁 although I'm more interested in UI/UX designs so I still have a long way to go but I know definitely before the mid 2022 I should be building at least some good portfolio. 😊😊😊
