you're gonna need two people for that.
one person at the top of a building would either hold the tape on hand or nail the hole, then throw the tape downward. the second guy would catch the tape and put it to the ground, thus measuring the whole building LMAO

There are augmented reality measuring apps like ARuler or the one from google for this scenario. Simply measuring physically will be more precise and reliable however
