To start developing your own VPN software you need to know what is a VPN: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_private_network <--- Read this Then you need some basic knowledge of networking. I found this post on some forums that gives you the basic things you need to know in order to create your own VPN software. There are a number of distinct elements of VPN software that you'll have to figure out: - What technology/standard will your program use to provide the privacy? Some common ones are IPSEC, L2TP, PPTP, SSH, and SSL. Web searches ought to turn up rich information (including RFCs) on all of these. If you're doing this as a learning exercise, rather than needing actual security, you could also design your own. - Are you implementing a client, a server, or both? - What operating system(s) will you support? This affects what you need to do to convince it to route packets through your application. - Do you plan to interoperate with software implementing some standard? At the end this is a really complex topic, i provided all i know. Some other users may give you more information than me.

As you know, free cheese is only in a mousetrap! I advise you to opt for a good, paid vpn service, which you can download here https://veepn.com/vpn-apps/vpn-for-ios/ . It's paid, but you can try a trial period to get started. Yes, there will be a traffic limit, but you can fully appreciate all the charm and simplicity of work. Actually, I immediately purchased the premium and, for more than a year now, I have been using it, I had no reason to be disappointed!
