Is there a specific language to make films/short films?

Films are not a programming related thing. Most editors have interfaces with buttons and simple UI, no coding needed unless you want to make your own editing software

That is very helpful, thank you Martin Taylor for the contribution of knowledge - i will definately look into the ASL language and see the dynamics and more of how in depth i can get into when it comes to design and layout. much appreciated
