A lot of people want it. But I don't think it is coming in the near future as I feel like it won't be their top priority. I think SL will rather prefer a language like Go or make additions to the existing courses (like they did with Python) first because: 1. Even though Rust is gaining popularity fast and has been the most loved language by developers since 2016 (source: StackOverflow), Rust is still less popular than the language people usually compare it with, that is, Go 2. Rust has a steep learning curve. And SL is a platform where absolute beginners are in huge numbers, people who have a hard time even learning Python. There is a very less chance that such people will be able to cope up with the unique and somewhat complex concepts of Rust. It doesn't really matter though that Rust isn't on SL. Rust's official sources for learning are very easy to understand and detailed at the same time.
