[ General Question ] How much can we trust social apps for our privacy and security protection ?

And is that possible that someone can use an image with injected Malicious Code in it as a profile photo for Social Media apps to do the black hat hacking works?

Nothing is perfectly secure in network for social medias or else app but in general those medias must ensure user security for it's reputation.User have to respect some rules in security tasks as being careful when tapping/clicking in links or images from untrusted sources.Hackers have more then million tricks/tools/ways in hacking....

Yes, it is possible to embed malicious code into a picture. But those type of exploits is usually zero-day patched by many browsers.

You can absolutely trust social media apps to take all your private information, no matter how inappropriate or immoral for them to do so.
