Okay so the thing is,

I think you have heard of the scams which were going in sololearn. Some users were making fake accounts to fool others and to click on the link they provide.
So this issue was forwarded to sololearn then the step taken was sololearn is that they blocked external links like you can't send any link which is out of sololearn. And yeah this thing has happened with me too.
That time only internal links were working. And as you said to share courses of coding with them so they were out of sololearn stuff so they doesn't fit sent and we're unsent.
But now the external links are too working but yeah it could be possible that it may not work in some devices.
So do this

Clear the app's cache or the whole storage so that the sl will be refreshed and then you can send those.
External links are working fine with me currently. If this yet exists then any how you have to wait for the next upgrade which will be released soon. Mail sololearn too for the same.

What i did to send an external link was this: i just removed first ‘https’ from link. It allowed me to send the rest part of the link. So my link looked like this: ‘:/Sololearn/...’
I just wrote before the link ‘Please add ‘https’ to be able to open the link’. So those who receive it know what to do!
