What all can we do with scratch? I think it's only for making cartoon animation?

It's not like you can say it's totally for cartoon animations.
It has tools for creating interactive stories, games, art, simulations, and more, using block-based programming. And I think it has it's own paint and sound editor..
Basically it was designed for animations.
