Best language

Question

Hello, i'm a beginner but i really enjoy web design and programming.

At the moment i am doing a lot of courses and learning different languages. My friends, who are already better at programming, say that it doesn't help, I should concentrate on one language.

If you could start all over again, which language would you learn as a developer and why? Thank you for your answers.

There's no best language.
Think what you want to make and what field of development you like most and then choose the language(s) that suits better for that purpose.
And tell your friends that having a quick overview doesn't hurt.
