Thonny doesn't have as much use as bigger IDEs such as Atom or PyCharm... Atom can be the best for complex python programs. Previously, Thonny did not support breakpoints however with Version 3.0. 1, there is now finally breakpoint support! You can refer this https://jaxenter.com/thonny-python-ide-150984.html
