Very true, I agree! Being a guy myself I used to get lots of "hi, where are u from?" messages everyday, but atleast mine is fine as compared to yours. And,I do agree on that point that if they are really after girls or if they are using this platform for that then guess what's there are tonnes of such platforms available on the net for doing . Whoever is reading this and you are one of them then "please stop" because at the end of the day we are all here to learn and grow but some people thinks that we are here for dates, relationship and so. I've got lots to say but if you choosen SoloLearn then I know you guys are smart enough to cope and stop such unaccepted acts, Thank you! But, Tanya Sharma don't you worry you are not alone cause a thread to cope such acts has been already made by our Mods(which I think is awesome and I'm thankful) one of such I've linked below. QUICK TIP: just report them in this thread and direct BLOCK them. "Happy Learning" https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/524028/?ref=app

Tanya Sharma I suspect a lot of it has to do with the underdeveloped prefrontal cortex that many young adolescent males suffer from, coupled with too much testosterone, too much boredom, and the virtual anonymity of online communities. Fortunately, there are many here who conduct themselves with strong character and respect for others reflecting the good in humanity. Please do report the riff raff and block them. At least they are revealing themselves as accounts not worth seeing and certainly they aren't worth you spending a second being stressed over.

Tanya Sharma As others have mentioned, the best thing is to report those who are harassing you with unwanted advances and then block them. The most effective way to report these guys is to capture screen shots and email them to info@sololearn.com. While it is your prerogative to post this type of discussion thread on your personal activity feed, this content doesn't quite fit the criteria for being posted on the Q&A section reserved for technical questions. For that reason, it appears this question was marked for deletion about two hours ago and will, therefore, be automatically removed in 22 hours.

Some boys will be boys but this does not apply to all men. Perhaps there is an animalistic or Freudian reason as to why this happens in certain cases. Perhaps it's because higher order synaptic connections are lacking in the grey matter of certain juvenile Homo Sapiens. Either way, everyone has a right to complain and report members involved in any type of wrong doing.

And don't use the report button, it's obviously useless. But I think they won't do anything against those messages, since they are "private". I use to block this immediately. Ore though you're basically right, this could be an important discussion, especially regarding the fact, that most users consider this community as proper for children.

This issue has been discussed before. For ways to deal with it, please refer to the other discussion. I doubt anything new will be said here. https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/2191715/?ref=app

Similar problem might appear in almost any internet communities, not just here. Hard to fix, because there are always more of these people, but luckily you can easily block them.

Sololearn reality show: 1. I want to marry you 2. Send me a picture of you 3. Give me your Instagram 4. Can I see you 5. "Please", "come on", etc. In random combinations and ignoring each "no" in between.

This is not programming related. Post this in your activity feed and report any form of harassment to a moderator. Also you can block the culprit.

Screenshots & email is also the most complicated & expensive way for those who are affected. Not really acceptable beside this report button and feedback form...
