Catafrancia Mapper in your question you wrote you want to scroll between. To do that, you need to use overflow. Example, messages {
overflow:scroll
}. You can as well use auto in place of scroll. I don't really know the difference btw scroll and auto, but to me they both do the same thing.
overflow-x: for horizontal, overflow-y: for vertical, overflow
