I think a lot of programmers with degrees suffer from imposter syndrome because they are not real programmers. They get jobs because of outdated pointless degrees. Then they realise they don't actually have a clue what they doing. A programmer is like an artist, singer or actor. A degree or piece of paper will not make you a programmer. Talent and honest hard work repeated daily will make you a real programmer. A programmer should be able to at least, bare minimum, be able to make a complete free standing app on their own (front and back) before they can comfortably say they are not imposters and real programmers. Anyway, that is the basic standard I aspire to.
