How to make the like and dislike buttons dynamic???

Question

I have made Like and Dislike Buttons but i am not able to store the data of the buttons when the user clicked on them. I want to make them work just like sololearn' Like and Dislike Buttons. I know I have to use database but I don't know about php. Anyone who could help me making these buttons working. I have used JavaScript but it is not enough.

I'll prefer Firebase Realtime Database to Firestore for this application
