1. SQL is the language of databases, so you'll eventually need it anyway, always worth learning. Between Python and R, I would of course lean towards Python. 2. SQL can be practiced at sqlzoo.net, while Python - I'd advise you to audit online courses at coursera.org - they have something better there - specific assignments that you do while learning. 3. For now, I'd focus on learning, not earning certificates. Take a look at my code below to find links to recommendable sources: (scroll down for free online courses) https://code.sololearn.com/W2nvcMqTRi4q/?ref=app

You should not be discouraged. This field is *hard* to grasp at first. Anything particular you are having troubles with?

Yeah, Thank you very much for answering. 1. Picking a language: I have been learning Python, R and SQL simultaneously which of these should I prefer as in order to become a good data scientist. 2. Practicing: some sites that you know that I can practice each skill. 3. Financial: I do not save much (as I just started earning) to pay for an institution fees so is it necessary to get certified from somewhere to get a job in this field. Sorry for the long post.

Many companies look for someone with 3, 5 or 10 years of experience, then start now...
