Who can see my posts?

I wonder if only my followers can see my posts.. as I come accross sometimes(even frequently) some posts of people that I don't know (even though I discover some good things).

How does it actually work?

I think everyone can see your posts.
And some posts appear on timeline as recommendation by Sololearn. I also see these kind of posts.
