Personally, I installed "Hacker's keyboard" app just for this :)
Whenever I need to Undo, I switch for that for a moment and press Ctrl+Z - works like a charm!

I've never had undo/redo options from long presses on Samsung Note 2 or Note 8.

I'll try to confirm the Android version of my Note 2 if I get around to charging it.

Just like Kuba Siekierzyński , the only time I've been able to get undo to work is with Hacker Keyboard using ctrl+z.

~ swim ~ IIRC when I joined sololearn years back, I used to having that with my mobile Lava Irish version with android versions 4-5. At that time I've used to having those feature which include that redo and undo option with typing on code playground and even in Q&A section. It's something to do with android version and mobile specification. I used many mobiles till now and samsung latest series gives one more good feature which is device specification in which holding the application let you see and have access to some activity and notification and you can type in their to respond faster.

So your taught is right about it's something related to device and android version specification.

I'm with David Carroll on this one. I do not recall anything about such feature. You are basically telling that I have been needlessly backspacing and retyping code all these time on Code Playground. Poor fingers. :'<

I checked whether switching from Samsung keyboard to Google GBoard might help, but no, I got the same result. No Undo/Redo.
