In table tags - <th>tag :defines a table cell that contains a heading . <td>tag:defines a table cell that contains data .

There is very little difference between <td> and <th> tag <td> tag is used to assign data(can be of any type) <th> tag is used to assign heading for your table column Also the data written in <th> tag is shown as bold while viewing the page
